The Grand Inquisitors of the inclusive-diverse sect know no borders: the proof!
Note: The Bordeaux Rectorate has suspended the director of the Catholic school group of the Immaculate Conception in Pau for three years, (4th best private high school in France, 1st in the Aquitaine region). The daily newspaper Libération and a handful of teachers (out of 250) accuse him of various attacks on secularism. Their file is "empty and falsified", maintain the director's lawyers before the Administrative Court of Bordeaux.
In New York, Torquemada is not a civil servant, it is a private (and posh) girls' high school. Its principal fired their French teacher who did not condemn France's ban on the veil in schools, but explained that it reflected an approach to secularism different from that of America. On both sides of the Atlantic, the Grand Inquisitors of the inclusive-diversity sect condemn the miscreant to social death. Anne Protopappas taught French for 25 years at Spence, a posh establishment near Central Park. Everyone admired and respected her, except for a high school student, who is also the principal's daughter. During her last French class of the year (in May 2023), Saraï Wilks asked her why French students were not allowed to wear the hijab in the school. “Madame Proto” then explains to her class that France thus applies the democratic principle of the separation of Church and State. Saraï gets angry and concludes that this country, and her French teacher, are horrible Islamophobes.
The school's website nevertheless invites its students, for $65.000 per year, to live "a spiritual adventure, rooted in the desire to deepen things through a quest for challenge and complexity." When handing them their diplomas last year, the director encouraged them to continue to "love learning without restraint by reaching out to those who disturb them and do not agree with them." Do as I say, not as I do. Anne Protopappas is unemployed and without job prospects at 62 because she applied these prescriptions. Exposing proven facts that contradict the doxa is a serious offense and None of the 15 elite schools she sent her resume to granted her an interview.
Deprived of resources since last February, “Mrs. Proto” had to resort to filing an action for wrongful dismissal against Spence. She states in her complaint that she had started the discussion on secularism as soon as the question was asked and that Saraï “had become angry, with a surprising emotional intensity” against a French law, which the teenager considered to be villainous. She was furious when she thought of her veiled friend, “who was at school on the West Coast where she lived before moving to New York” (“ sic"). Could this be the cause of this sudden anger?
According to the principal, Anne Protopappas does not respect Spence's educational requirements. Unfair to students whom she does not let express themselves, she sows confusion among them. These accusations make her live an "Orwellian nightmare". Abandoned by her colleagues, this daughter of two Vietnamese parents is suddenly:
“demonized, disqualified, delegitimized overnight. (…) Ironically, teaching French at Spence seems like white privilege. (…) I never thought I would have to pay such a price to practice and teach freedom of expression and independence of mind in the school I had chosen 25 years ago for its open-mindedness. How can we keep democracy alive if we don’t teach them?”
Spence's woke drift is not recent. As early as 2017, billionaire John Paulson announced that he wanted to stop his patronage because of the “anti-white indoctrination” that his two daughters were repeatedly subjected to, edifying examples to support this.
In 2021, another parent denounced the content of a video shown to 4th grade students, which he considered:
“exemplary of hate speech against white women. The Spence school community would have mobilized en masse, he adds, against a similar video that mocked any other racial group.”
Students have left the school to escape this indoctrination, and the dismissal of “Mrs. Proto” is not an isolated incident. It is part of a proliferation in American society of the various ideological totems of wokeness. It has manifested itself on the campuses of prestigious universities that have tolerated anti-Semitic excesses, after the pogrom of October 7, 2023. The school that gives in to the actions of Felicia and Saraï Wilks are also examples of this penetration. The mother’s activist background, which may have had a favorable impact on her recruitment by Spence two years ago, also sheds light on her support, and that of the school, for the cabal fomented by her daughter.
A recent article from The Free Press has mobilized former students of Madame Proto who have launched a kitty. The $25.000 initially requested was collected in a few days and the new ceiling set at $50.000 has already been practically reached: here. Is Wokeism (finally) on the rocks?
