Why did the Hijabeuses lose to the FFF?

The hijab women wanted the moon: to be able to play football with the hijab on their heads. Supported by several associations including Alliance Citoyenne and a disoriented Human Rights League, the hijab women nevertheless did not win their case. This is the law that prevails in France, and the principle of neutrality in sport is a fundamental and emancipatory value. Alone alongside the French Football Federation (FFF), the International Women's Rights League (LDIF), founded by Simone de Beauvoir, stood up against religious fundamentalism and won the game. We interviewed its president Annie Sugier.
